About GroundCasinoReview
Who is behind GroundCasinoReview?
GroundCasinoReview is published by GroundCasinoReview Media Ltd, an independent editorial desk founded in 2026 and based in London. We are a review publisher, not a gambling operator. We do not accept deposits, hold customer funds, run any form of wagering or offer anything to wager on. Everything on this website is editorial.
How do you make money?
When a reader opens an account with a brand we review, the operator may pay us a commission. That is the whole of our revenue model and it is set out in full on our Disclosure page. Commission is agreed before a review is written, never in exchange for a score, and no operator sees a review before it is published.
Can an operator pay for a better score?
No. Our scoring sheet is fixed, published and applied identically to every brand. Six weighted criteria produce the number you see, and the individual criterion scores are printed on each review so you can check the arithmetic yourself. If a brand disagrees with a score its only route is the same correction process available to any reader.
How current is your information?
Every review carries a last-reviewed date. Licence details are re-checked against the UK Gambling Commission public register each time we update a review, and we re-verify payments and withdrawal behaviour at least twice a year. If you spot something out of date, write to us and we will correct it.
Licensing and safety
What does a UK Gambling Commission licence actually guarantee?
It means the operator is bound by the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice: customer funds must be held to a stated protection level, advertising must not mislead, age and identity verification must happen before wagering, safer-gambling tools must be available, and complaints must be routed to an approved alternative dispute resolution service. It does not guarantee you will win, and it never makes gambling risk-free.
How do I check a licence myself?
Every review here links to the operator's entry on the Commission public register and prints the account number and licence number in full. Open the register entry, then open the domain-names view and confirm the exact domain you are about to use is listed. If the domain is not on the register, do not deposit.
What is a white label and should it worry me?
A white label is a brand that trades under another company's licence. The licence holder — not the brand — holds your funds, writes your account terms and answers to the regulator. It is a common and entirely legitimate structure, but it changes who you are contracting with, so we name the licensee on every review. Of the two brands on this desk, Betano runs as a white label under BV Gaming Limited, while Midnite holds its own licence through Dribble Media Limited.
Can I use a credit card to deposit?
No. Credit-card gambling has been banned in Great Britain since April 2020. Any licensed operator will decline one, and any operator that accepts one is not licensed here.
Staying in control
What is GamStop and how do I register?
GamStop is the free national self-exclusion scheme for Great Britain. One registration blocks your access to every operator licensed by the Commission for a period you choose — six months, one year or five years. It cannot be lifted early. Register directly at gamstop.co.uk; it takes a few minutes and no operator can register on your behalf.
Where can I get help right now?
The National Gambling Helpline is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day on 0808 8020 133. BeGambleAware offers online chat and self-assessment tools, and Gamblers Anonymous runs free peer-support meetings across the UK both in person and online. All three are linked in our footer on every page.
What limits should I set before I deposit?
Set a deposit limit first, before your first deposit, at an amount you would be genuinely relaxed about losing entirely. Add a loss limit and a session reminder. Under Commission rules a reduction takes effect immediately while an increase must wait through a cooling-off period, so the limit you set today is a real constraint, not a suggestion.
How do I know if my gambling has become a problem?
Warning signs include chasing losses, gambling with money set aside for something else, borrowing to fund it, hiding it from people close to you, or feeling anxious when you cannot do it. If any of that sounds familiar, take the free self-assessment on BeGambleAware or call the helpline. Read our Responsible Gaming page for the full list and the tools available to you.
Using this website
Do you use cookies?
Only strictly necessary cookies load automatically. Anything optional waits for your consent through the banner in the corner of the screen, and choosing Reject means nothing optional is set at all. You can change your mind at any time from the Cookie Policy page.
Can readers post reviews or comments here?
No. GroundCasinoReview carries no user-generated content of any kind — no comments, no forums, no ratings widgets, no uploads. Every word is written and checked by our editorial team, which keeps the record accurate and keeps unmoderated content off the website entirely.
Who can use this website?
Adults aged 18 or over who are located in the United Kingdom. Gambling by anyone under 18 is a criminal offence in Great Britain. If you share a device with someone under 18, filtering software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio can block gambling content at the device level.
How do I report an error or make a complaint?
Email contact@groundcasinoreview.co.uk with the page address and what you believe is wrong. We answer within two working days. Complaints about an operator itself must go to that operator first and then to its alternative dispute resolution provider — we have no authority over an operator's account decisions.
